Job summary

Pacific Defense is seeking a Manager of the NERVE Engineering and Delivery team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will lead a product-focused team responsible for defining, developing, and delivering NERVE software and firmware, ensuring production readiness and on-time delivery to DoD and commercial customers.

The role requires extensive DoD acquisition lifecycle knowledge, strong cross-functional leadership, and a track record of transitioning prototypes to production.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing execution discipline and delivery accountability across cross-functional teams.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous software applications into an integrated SW/HW product.
• Experience with test equipment, instrumentation, and scripting tools.
• Capability to analyze test data, troubleshoot system-level issues, and drive resolution.
• Knowledge of CMOSS, SOSA, MORA, and related waveforms.
• 12+ years of experience in integration and test engineering, preferably in defense electronics or aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering growth and high morale.
• Establish execution discipline through planning, milestone tracking, and proactive issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance on integration and test development of system and product designs.
• Lead transition of systems from prototype to production with scalable processes.
• Oversee multiple projects and ensure on-time, in-scope, high-quality deliveries.
• Collaborate with Mission Application developers, Systems Engineering, program managers, operations, supply chain, and business development.
