Job summary

VELCO Vermont Electric Power Company, Inc. is seeking a Compliance Analyst to support the NERC Compliance Program and enhance grid reliability. You will collaborate across Operations, Planning, and IT to ensure adherence to NERC Reliability Standards and internal controls.

The role focuses on developing procedures, performing assessments, and leading investigations, with exposure to audits by NPCC and regulatory self-certifications. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, sciences, law, mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years in a Compliance role or a technical function with compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an internal expert for NERC Reliability Standards and CIP standards.
• Ensures program strategy, documentation, procedures, and evidence are aligned.
• Develops and maintains internal controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Coordinates with departments to implement processes and documentation.
• Leads internal incident investigations to identify improvements and noncompliance.
• Develops mitigations plans with timelines and tracks progress.
• Delivers training on compliance obligations and roles.
