Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Nephrology Transplant Physician Scientist to join our Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) and the Division of Organ Transplantation at Hackensack University Medical Center. This dual‑role combines cutting‑edge basic and translational transplant/immunology research with clinical nephrology care for pre‑ and post‑transplant patients and living donors.

• MD or equivalent degree required.
• Internal Medicine Residency completed.
• Transplant Fellowship completed or strong transplant experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate living donor and transplant recipient candidates.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for pre- and post-transplant patients.
• Teach fellows, residents, nurses, and staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in policy development.
• Collaborate on research initiatives and department protocols.
• Engage in outreach and transplantation events.
