Job summary

Ambu is looking for a Nephrology Transplant Physician Scientist at Hackensack University Medical Center, New Jersey. This dual role combines advanced research in transplant/immunology with clinical nephrology.

You’ll manage patient care for pre- and post-renal transplant patients, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and lead impactful research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a funded research program.
• Demonstrated success securing NIH and/or foundation funding.
• Minimum of 15 scientific publications, with majority as first or last author.

Responsibilities

• Conduct impactful basic or translational research in transplant/immunology.
• Evaluate potential living donor and transplant recipient candidates.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care for pre- and post-transplant donors and recipients.
