Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) in Lubbock seeks candidates for an Ass/Assoc/Professor/Professor position in Nephrology within the Internal Medicine Department. The division covers comprehensive kidney health care, education, and transplant expertise across a broad patient base.

Rank and salary depend on qualifications and experience; this is a full-time, on-site academic medical role with teaching responsibilities and potential for leadership within the division.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Nephrology Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic kidney diseases, provide ongoing monitoring and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about kidney health and disease prevention.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and works as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in teaching and lectures for fellows, residents and medical students.
