Job summary
Allina Health is seeking a physician specialized in nephrology to provide direct patient care for kidney-related diseases. You will review medical histories, synthesize data, and coordinate treatment plans for patients and families.
The role may include ambulatory, inpatient, or outpatient duties with on-call rotation. The ideal candidate holds an MD/DO with nephrology fellowship, Internal Medicine board certification, and MN license, and will participate in multidisciplinary care and quality
Qualifications
- Doctoral level degree in Medicine required.
- Residency in Internal Medicine from ACGME or comparable.
- Fellowship in nephrology required.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine required.
- Valid physician license in MN upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care, reviewing medical history and data.
- Specialty care for kidney diseases and renal function issues.
- Coordinate information to guide patient care decisions.
- Educate and intervene with treatment plans for patients and families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for case management.
- Maintain electronic charts and licensure scope compliance.
- May work in ambulatory, inpatient, or outpatient settings.
- On-call rotation may be required.
- Contribute to quality improvement and peer review activities.
