Baystate Health, Western MA’s only academic center and tertiary care provider, home to Baystate Medical Practices—the largest multispecialty group in the region—and affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kidney Transplant Medical Director. This role involves leading our transplant program and advancing excellence in patient care.

Position Highlights

• Clinical Leadership: Provide oversight of the transplant program, ensuring immediate availability of services for organ transplantation.
• Program Development: Represent Baystate in outreach efforts and program growth initiatives to increase transplant candidates and establish regional referral dominance.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Strategic Development: Implement plans to improve quality, safety, and expand services.
• Research & Education: Engage in kidney transplant research and train Nephrology fellows, with faculty appointment at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate.
• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive clinical care to transplant patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
