Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock, Texas, seeks a Physician Assistant to join our Nephrology team. The PA will provide comprehensive care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, collaborate with physicians, and participate in dialysis–related care.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of clinical experience, TX PA licensure, and NCCPA certification. BLS is required within 30 days of hire, with benefits including health coverage and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Active Texas PA license.
• 1 year clinical experience recommended.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Current NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive or problem‑focused exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and other diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe and manage therapies per approved protocols.
• Develop outcomes‑based treatment plans with physicians and the care team.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and coordinate referrals.
