Our physician-owned multi-specialty group (85+ providers across 9 specialties, 23+ locations) is recruiting a Nephrology NP or PA for Glendale & Phoenix, AZ.
Scope of practice will include:
- Comprehensive Patient Evaluations: Conduct detailed clinical histories and targeted physical exams for new and returning outpatient nephrology patients.
- Chronic Disease Supervision: Formulate, implement, and adjust evidence-based management plans for patients across all stages of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD Stages 1-5).
- Hypertension Management: Diagnose and treat primary and secondary hypertension, including multi-drug regimens for resistant hypertension.
- Electrolyte & Metabolic Management: Interpret laboratory studies to manage metabolic acidosis, hyperkalemia, hyperphosphatemia, renal osteodystrophy, and anemia of CKD (prescribing ESAs and iron therapies as appropriate).
- Medication Management: Review and adjust medication dosages based on renal function (eGFR / CrCl); reconcile complex drug regimens to minimize nephrotoxicity.
- Modal Education: Educate late-stage CKD patients and families on modalities of renal replacement therapy (In-Center Hemodialysis, Home Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Kidney Transplantation).
- Access Planning: Identify candidate access needs early and refer patients for timely creation of vascular access (AV fistula/graft) or peritoneal dialysis catheter placement.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of nephrology experience required, and must be able to work independently, no new grads considered
- Must love building relationships with patients, value bedside manner, and possess excellent clinical skills
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
- State licensure and board certification is required
