Job summary

Prisma Health in Richland Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Registered Nurse in meeting basic patient needs and delivering compassionate, high‑quality care. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and toileting; observing and reporting vital signs; and completing routine tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education - Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience - Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant or related experience preferred.
• One year hospital clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, hair washing, brushing teeth.
• Assist with nutrition and feeding; set up meal trays and assist with feeding.
• Assist with ambulation, including use of assistive devices and fall prevention.
• Assist with elimination needs and monitor input/output.
• Record and report patient vital signs and notify nurse of abnormal values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
