Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP program.
• Passing score on national NP certification exam recognized by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Ability to be licensed in the State of Illinois as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of medical services under medical direction and supervision of full-time faculty physicians.
• Manage patient care including history, physical examination, orders, and treatment plan development.
• Schedule patients for ancillary services and coordinate follow-up.
• Provide patient education and counseling to patients and families.
• Provide on-call service as needed.
• Communicate with physicians and provide summaries of data for further evaluation and therapy.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and submit billing information.
