Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Medical Assistant to room patients, collect assessment data, assist in examinations and clinic procedures, and help with laboratory tasks. You will register patients, schedule appointments, and enter data into the electronic system while coordinating referrals and collecting payments where appropriate.

Graduation from an ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited medical assistant program (or equivalent) is required, with clinical rotation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ABHES/CAAHEP-accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Medication injection training and pharmacology competency required.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, collects assessment data, and assists in examinations and clinic procedures.
• Registers patients, schedules appointments, codes chart updates, and coordinates referrals.
