Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO seeks a Medical Assistant or LPN to perform administrative and select clinical duties under provider supervision. Responsibilities include scheduling, medical record maintenance, taking vital signs and histories, preparing patients for exams, and drawing blood.

Required CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or LPN credentials with strong communication and computer skills; prior ambulatory clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an MA program including pharmacology, anatomy/physiology and externship, or graduated with an accredited LPN diploma.
• Certification from CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or LPN is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under provider supervision.
• Schedule appointments and maintain medical records.
• Take and record vital signs and medical histories, prepare patients for examination, and draw blood.
