Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Board Certified Nephrologist for inpatient-focused nephrology at Starling Physicians in Connecticut. You will provide consultative nephrology services and manage acute kidney conditions while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with residency in internal medicine or nephrology.
• Board Certification in Nephrology and active DEA license.
• Ability to obtain Connecticut licensure before starting practice.
• Experience or interest in inpatient hospitalist care.

Position

Board Certified Nephrologist – Inpatient‑focused nephrology hospitalization at Starling Physicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative inpatient nephrology services, including management of acute kidney injury, electrolyte abnormalities, ICU nephrology, continuous renal replacement therapy, acute hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis services.
• Participate in a weekly rotation with 3‑4 nephrologists and 2 advanced practitioners dedicated to full‑time hospital work, including resident and advanced practitioner teaching.
• Work 7 days on / 7 days off service, with no admitting/consultative only schedule and share approximately 1 in 15 from‑home night call.
• Collaborate with an inpatient nephrology nurse navigator, full‑time 24/7 surgery service, and support integrated renal transplant service.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Nephrology and active DEA license.
• Ability to obtain Connecticut licensure before starting practice.
• Experience or interest in inpatient hospitalist care.
