Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in the United States is seeking a Clinical Development Associate Medical Director to serve as Medical Lead for clinical trials, overseeing study strategy, design, execution and reporting.

This role acts as internal Medical Monitor for safety and scientific integrity across trials and may support additional clinical development projects. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with regulatory authorities, and contribute to regulatory

Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent ex-US medical degree.
• Typically requires 8 years of basic or clinical research experience.
• Board certification/eligibility highly desired.
• Experience in regulatory submissions and clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Develop Study Protocols, Investigator's Brochures, and Clinical Development Plans.
• Serve on cross-functional Study Execution Teams for trials.
• Prepare regulatory documents for submissions (INDs/CTAs, safety reports, annual reports).
• Provide scientific and clinical input to study-related documents and analyses.
• Act as liaison between Clinical Development and internal groups (Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Development Execution).
• Represent Vertex to external medical personnel in protocol development and reporting.
