Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
• Active Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• Experience with CKD and related conditions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nephrology consultation and management for post-acute and long-term care patients.
• Collaborate with and supervise Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct onsite visits at affiliated skilled nursing facilities.
• Support quality-driven, patient-centered care initiatives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning as needed.

About the Role:

Position: Part-Time Nephrologist – Post-Acute Care | San Antonio Region

We are a physician-led specialty practice providing Cardiology, Nephrology, and Pulmonology services across skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. As we continue to expand throughout the state, we are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Part-Time Nephrologist to join our growing team.

This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful specialty care to medically complex patients in the post-acute setting while working alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and interdisciplinary care teams.

Position Highlights
