Job summary

Liberty Language Services is seeking freelance Nepali interpreters to provide on-site, in-person interpretation for healthcare clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland regions. This is a freelance role with flexible hours and workload, not a full-time or part-time position.

Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization, reside in the DC/NOVA/MD area, be willing to travel, and pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. work authorization is required.
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area is required.
• Completion of a 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course or intent to complete is required.
• An Oral Language Proficiency Test in English and target language(s) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation services for healthcare clients.
• Travel to client locations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and complete background checks and drug screening as required.

We are currently hiring on-site Nepali interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services for our clients in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas.

Please Note: This is a freelance opportunity, not a full-time or part-time position. Your workload will vary based on client needs, offering you the flexibility to choose when and how much you work.

• Valid U.S. work authorization
• Residency in the Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, or Maryland area
• Willingness to travel to client locations
• Willingness to undergo Background check
• Willingness to undergo drug screening
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion or intention to complete the following:
• A 40-hour Medical Interpreter Training Course (certificate from a reputable institution required)
• An Oral Language Proficiency Test in both English and your target language(s)
