Job summary

Mabbett & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time NEPA Practitioner/Specialist to join our Washington, DC area team. The role emphasizes NEPA program implementation, early planning, document review, and coordination with client project managers.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop NEPA documentation, track records, and support stakeholder outreach. Occasional travel across the U.S. is expected; U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• 5 years of direct NEPA documentation experience including CATEX, REC, EA, EIS.
• Familiarity with NEPA regulations and federal environmental planning processes.
• Knowledge of land use permitting, environmental review, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate NEPA documents and tracking with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Review NEPA Recs, CATEX, EAs, and EISs for completeness and alignment with procedures.
• Maintain NEPA project trackers, records, schedules, and status reports.
• Support preparation of NEPA briefings, training materials, and meetings.
• Assist with NEPA stakeholder outreach, meeting logistics, and comment tracking.
• Review project info for environmental considerations and mitigation tracking.
