Job summary

Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ seeks a Neonatology Physician to join its Level IV NICU team on a full-time basis. The role includes delivery room coverage, NICU management, rounding with residents and NNPs, and consults in the Pediatric ER with antenatal and follow-up clinic involvement.

The hospital features a 54-bed NICU, strong supportive staff, and opportunities for career mentorship and growth; compensation includes extensive benefits and loan forgiveness eligibility

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility from the appropriate specialty or subspecialty board.
• Medical degree and the successful completion of ACGME or AOA Residency and Fellowship.
• Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
• MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey
• CDS and DEA license required

Responsibilities

• Provide delivery room coverage including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Primary patient management in the NICU and rounding with residents, fellows, NNPs, and PAs.
• Provide consults in the Pediatric ER and antenatal consults; follow-up clinic coverage.
• On-call coverage with 5-6 24-hour shifts per month in a team-based setting.
• Collaborate with specialty RNs, social workers, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
