Overview

The Division of Neonatology at the University of Arizona - Tucson is seeking a qualified candidate to join our Level IV NICU as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor. The role involves resident and medical student education, clinical research, quality improvement, and other academic activities. Our team provides Neonatology services at Diamond Children’s Medical Center, Tucson’s premier children’s hospital, with comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support. The team collaborates closely, with 24/7 NNP coverage, emphasizing a team-based approach to care. Candidates should be team players comfortable working with diverse students, trainees, and colleagues, and experienced with various teaching methods. The hired physician will hold a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona based on credentials.

Work Schedule & Responsibilities

• Full-time (1.0 FTE)
• Charting assistance provided
• Support from multiple residents, attendings, and NNPs per shift

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Eligible for Arizona state licensure
• Excellent procedural and clinical skills
