Position Overview

In partnership with the University of Arizona, Banner University Medical Group is actively interviewing Anatomic Pathologists to join our Clinical Faculty at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves diagnostic pathology services across multiple Tucson locations, including the NCI-designated Arizona Cancer Center, Centers of Excellence, and the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System.

The role supports the College of Medicine's mission to improve health through education, research, and patient care. The candidate will have an academic appointment at the University of Arizona and will engage in teaching, clinical work, and scholarly activities at Banner University Medical Center Tucson, a leading 463-bed medical facility and Level 1 trauma center with a renowned Cancer Center.

Position Details

• Full-Time, 1.0 FTE | Monday-Friday schedule
• Perform anatomic pathology diagnostics, including frozen sections and surgical specimen review
• Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and students
• Participate in translational research and scholarly activities (Clinical Scholar track)
• 1:8 Call Rotation: night and weekend, anatomic pathology only

Minimum Qualifications

• MD/DO and Arizona Medical License upon start
• American Board of Pathology certified or eligible
• Fellowship-trained in Anatomic Pathology
• Subspecialty in Cytopathology or Gastroenterology preferred but not required
