- $280,000 to $325,000 Base Salary, negotiable depending on experience

This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. Founded in 2016 by neonatologists serving a single hospital's NICU, it has grown to over 100 providers across multiple states, offering 24/7 care. Their team includes board-certified neonatologists, obstetric hospitalists, and pediatric specialists committed to continuous, high-quality care for mothers and infants. They are a trusted partner for hospitals and health systems, combining national infrastructure with local support.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This employed position is based in a medical center in Macon, with one physician currently in practice and seeking a second due to growth. The group also employs neonatal nurse practitioners. The hospital has received awards for excellent patient care. The neonatologists collaborate to deliver exceptional NICU and newborn services.
The role involves:
- Small Level III NICU
- Approximately 1,000 deliveries annually
- Daily census of 4 to 6 patients
- 2 physician model
Physicians typically see 5 to 10 patients per day. The hospital uses an EHR system, and clinical assistants support providers. The schedule is flexible and shared among physicians, with most opting for a 7-on/7-off model with alternating on-call weeks, though scheduling is at the team's discretion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Georgia medical license
- DEA certification
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatology
- No experience required; new graduates and fellows are encouraged to apply
