Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expert surgical care for pediatric patients, focusing on trauma cases.
• Participate in inpatient care, consultations, and emergency responses.
• Manage patient admissions and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
• Respond to inpatient calls within a 15-minute timeframe, maintaining a high call-back ratio.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for charting and patient documentation.
• Serve on weekend call shifts as scheduled, attending to unassigned patients.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to troubleshoot and manage complex pediatric cases.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure.
• Completion of a fellowship in pediatric surgery (required).
• Strong background in trauma care is essential; ECMO experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-based setting.
• Ability to handle high-volume patient loads efficiently.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania medical license required.
• Certifications in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Temporary privileges can be granted to expedite credentialing.
