Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health’s K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, NJ, seeks a Neonatal NP or PA to join a 48-bed Level III-C NICU.

You’ll provide immediate neonatal assessment, stabilization, and collaborative care with neonatologists to optimize outcomes for vulnerable patients. This role offers flexible 8-, 12-, or 24-hour shifts, a supportive team, continuous education, and a prime coastal location between New York City and Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey NP license or PA license required.
• NNP certification or neonatal fellowship/experience preferred.
• NRP, BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation.
• Assess, diagnose, prescribe, and perform specialized procedures for critically ill neonates.
• Develop and manage comprehensive care plans with neonatology team.
• Manage patients using advanced respiratory modalities including MV and CPAP.
• Provide 24-hour in-house coverage with a dedicated provider team.
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, therapists, pharmacists, and RNs.

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an exceptional and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neonatology team at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, located within Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J. Core Clinical Duties & Privileges:

• Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation.
• Assess, diagnose, prescribe, and perform specialized procedures for critically ill neonates.
• Develop and manage comprehensive care plans in collaboration with an experienced team of neonatologists.
• Manage patients using advanced respiratory modalities, including high-frequency oscillators, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation.
• Provide continuous 24-hour in-house coverage alongside a dedicated team of three providers at all times.
• Collaborate seamlessly with pediatric subspecialists, respiratory therapists, dedicated neonatal pharmacists, dieticians, and RNs to deliver highly coordinated care.

Required Qualifications for NP:

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) HCP Certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

Required Qualifications for PA:

• Licensure: Active New Jersey Physician Assistant (PA) License.
• Experience/Education: Completion of a dedicated Neonatal Fellowship.

COMPENSATION:

Minimum Starting Base Salary: $160,763.20
