AMN Healthcare is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens support in Portland, ME. This inpatient NICU role involves high-risk deliveries, neonatal procedures, and critical care in a busy setting.

Start ASAP with 12-hour day or night shifts through July 2027. Credentialing typically takes 60–120 days; BLS required and board certification in neonatal specialty preferred. EPIC EMR is used.

Qualifications

• Board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) required; licensure willingness.
• Credentialing timeframe: 60–120 days.
• EMR: EPIC used for charting.
• Inpatient NICU practice with high-risk deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk deliveries and full neonatal procedures.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lumbar puncture, and venipuncture.
• Place umbilical lines and perform thoracentesis/thoracostomy as needed.

This facility is seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP) for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: August 2026 - July 2027, 12-hour shifts (days and/or nights).

Practice Setting: inpatient

Types of Cases: High risk deliveries, full neonatal procedures, Intubation, lumbar puncture, venipuncture, arterial puncture, umbilical line placement, thoracentesis, thoracostomy, neonatal resuscitation.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 - 120 Days

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Certifications Required: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP specific) and Basic Life Support

Licensure Required: Willing to license
