The Department of Pediatrics at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University invites applications for a full-time Associate Professor (GFT) in Neonatology. The role combines clinical care in the UHD NICU with teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

The successful candidate will lead rounds, participate in fellowship education, and contribute to scholarly activities while supporting families of high-risk neonates in Brooklyn’s only academic medical center.

Competenze

• Must hold or be eligible for NY medical licensure and DEA certification.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Pediatrics.
• Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship completed or in progress with board eligibility.
• Board certification in Pediatrics with Neonatal qualification preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide education and supervision to medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Deliver clinical care for neonates in the UHD NICU with emphasis on high-risk cases.
• Attend as attending of record; respond to high-risk deliveries and consultations.
• Participate in fellowship administration and scholarly activities.
• Engage in patient rounds, documentation, and care planning with the pediatric team.
