Job summary

Rush University Medical Center's Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, seeks a full-time Neonatologist to join our academic faculty in downtown Chicago. BC/BE candidates will provide direct care to critically ill newborns in a 72-bed Level III+ NICU and participate in teaching residents and medical students.

You will collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine, pediatric subspecialists, and a multidisciplinary team to advance education, quality improvement, and patient outcomes in

Qualifications

• MD or DO required.
• Illinois license to practice medicine required.
• Completion of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Willing and able to travel between clinical locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for critically ill newborns in the NICU and related clinics.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and advanced practice learners.
• Commit to exceptional patient care, learner education, and advancing neonatal medicine.
• Participate in divisional quality improvement, patient safety, education, and research.
• Collaborate with obstetrics, MFM, pediatric surgery, and subspecialists for comprehensive care.
• Eligible for faculty appointment at Rush Medical College at a rank commensurate with experience.
