Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Neonatal Network at the hospital's main campus in Columbus, OH. The role requires a Master of Science degree and current Ohio APRN or PA licensure with national APRN certification in the appropriate population focus.

1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, with full-time benefits and a sign-on bonus. Experience in NICU and PN-AC is required, with a commitment to professional development and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science degree or equivalent provision is required.
  • Licensure as an APRN or PA in Ohio is required.
  • National certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci, or PA certification, is required.

Job Description Summary

Job Description
Essential Functions:
  • Assesses patients and/or populations; develops, implements and evaluates plans of care; clearly documents and communicates information both in written and verbal forms.
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards as necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Utilizing evidence based practice, serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.
  • Assists in the education, training and development of new and existing staff members.
  • Engages in the “community of the work unit” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, engages in Quality Improvement.
  • Leverages technology and informatics to optimize healthcare outcomes.
  • Commits to continued professional development of self and others.
  • Contributes to the division and/or specialty goals and the Hospital Strategic Plan.
Education Requirement

Master of Science degree or equivalent provision, required.

Licensure Requirement

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio, required.

Certifications

Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA, required.
