Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Per Diem Neonatologist to cover shifts in Torrance, CA. The role involves 27-hour in-house blocks, coverage of a Level III Community NICU, and care for ADC 10 NICU and ADC 10 Newborn infants, using Epic EMR.

Holiday, PTO, and additional compensation beyond hourly pay are not provided; travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered for those outside a commutable distance. Compensation is $150.00 per hour on a per diem basis.

Qualifications

• Board certification in neonatology or equivalent.
• Active CA medical license required.
• Minimum 1 year of neonatal experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced practice.
• Willingness to offer ongoing availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide 27-hour in-house shifts (every other day in a block).
• Cover Level III Community NICU.
• Cover ADC 10 NICU and ADC 10 Newborn.
• Utilize Epic EMR for charting and orders.

• Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.
• We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
• Compensation: The pay for this position is $ 150.00 /hour
