Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Neonatologist to join the Neonatology-Perinatology Department and provide care in a 100-bed NICU (75 Level IV, 25 Level III) with private rooms and care for patients at the Summa NICU.

You will participate in teaching residents and medical students, have an academic appointment opportunity with Northeast Ohio Medical University, and engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Neonatology.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Experience in neonatal intensive care and high‑risk deliveries.
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to sick and premature newborns in Level IV and Level III NICU settings.
• Attend and manage high‑risk deliveries.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for extremely premature, surgical, cardiac, and ECMO patients; focus on optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners.
