Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, OH is seeking a Neonatologist to join the Neonatology-Perinatology Department. You will care for critically ill newborns in a 100-bed NICU (75 Level IV, 25 Level III) and cover the Summa NICU with a 22-bed Level III unit.

You will collaborate with 8 neonatologists and 40 neonatal nurse practitioners, participate in teaching, research, and quality initiatives, and may have an appointment at NEOMED.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatology.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Experience in neonatal intensive care and high‑risk deliveries.
• Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to sick and premature newborns in Level IV and Level III NICU settings.
• Attend and manage high‑risk deliveries.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for extremely premature, surgical, cardiac, and ECMO patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners.
