Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, in partnership with Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, seeks a dedicated Neonatologist to join our Level III NICU. The 7-on/7-off schedule and 24/7 in-house NNP coverage support a true work‑life balance while delivering high‑quality neonatal care.

You will join a collaborative team with 2 neonatologists and 4 NNPs; responsibilities include newborn rounds, NNP-led transport, and in-house coverage during transports; 1,500–2,000 deliveries

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Neonatology.
• Experience in Level III NICU settings preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with NNPs and neonatology team.

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with high acuity cases.
• Collaborate with 2 Neonatologists and 4 NNPs, in-house 24/7.
• Participate in newborn rounds and lead NICU protocols.
• Support home call after rounds and participate in transports.
