Pediatrix Medical Group in Clermont, FL is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neonatologist to help build a brand-new Level II NICU at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. BE/BC neonatology required; opportunity to rotate through the Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando.

Join a collaborative care model with Neonatal Physicians, NNPs, and Pediatric Hospitalists; on-call 30-minute response; 12–14 shifts per month. Summer 2026 start with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neonatologist required.
• Experience in neonatology practice preferred.
• Florida license or eligibility desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-call shifts and 24-hour coverage schedule (12–14 shifts per month).

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join our nationally recognized neonatology team at Orlando Health South Lake Hospital in Clermont, FL.

About Orlando Health South Lake Hospital

The NICU & Practice Opportunity

This brand new Level II NICU is designed for growth and supported by an established regional network.

• Projected NICU average daily census of 5-6 by year-end
• Newborn nursery ADC of 6-7
• ~2,000 annual deliveries
• Support from Pediatrix's flagship Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital (142 beds)
• A collaborative care model with Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), and Pediatric Hospitalists
• On-call response time: within 30 minutes
• Neonatologist schedule: 12-14 shifts (24-hour) per month, based on a combined in-house daytime and on-call evenings/weekends model
• NNP staffing: 24-hour shifts, providing balanced coverage and continuity
• Opportunity to rotate through the Level IV NICU at Winnie Palmer in Orlando
