Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Neonatologist for a permanent, full-time position in a Level III NICU within a nationally recognized health system in the Baltimore/Washington region. The role offers opportunities to expand clinical expertise and contribute to top-tier neonatal care in a diverse urban/suburban/rural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to neonates in a Level III NICU.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive examinations of newborns to assess health status and initiate interventions.
• Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests and medical data to diagnose conditions and monitor progress.
• Communicate effectively with families, provide updates, and educate on their child’s condition.
• Participate in rounds, case conferences, and research to stay current in neonatal care.
• Train and mentor residents, fellows, and other health care professionals in neonatology.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a Pediatric Residency and Neonatology Fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Neonatology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Level III NICU.
• Proven experience in neonatal resuscitation and management of critically ill neonates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong teamwork abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
