Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Neonatologist for per diem coverage in Athens, GA. This Level-III NICU-based role involves providing expert neonatal care and working with a dedicated team of NNPs and on-site subspecialists.

The position requires board certification in neonatology and an active GA license or IMLC. Per diem coverage may involve 24-hour rounds and on-call duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide per diem neonatology coverage at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
• Manage care for NICU patients in a Level-III NICU with a team of NNPs.
• Collaborate with on-site subspecialists (ID, neurology, cardiology, pulmonary, ophthalmology).
• Be available for 24-hour rounds plus call, with schedule permitting up to 7 consecutive days.

Per Diem opportunity for an Experienced, Board Certified Neonatologist in Athens (GA)!

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced, board certified neonatologist, with exceptional clinical skills, to provide per diem coverage at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.

• 20 NICU beds with 6 overflow beds.


• Daily census averages 16-19 with over 300 annual admissions.


• Level-III NICU that is dedicated to taking care of high acuity babies.


• 24 hours round plus call - can cover 7 days in a row (schedule permitting)


• Experienced team of NNPs.


• Sub-specialties such as pediatric ID, neurology, cardiology, pulmonary and ophthalmology are all on site. We have access to adult urology, ENT and dermatology, if needed, on site. Remainder of our consultants are at CHOA in Atlanta.
