Job summary

Inspira Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse for the Special Care Nursery to care for newborns, assess needs, and coordinate plans of care. You will work with families to support emotional well-being and ensure safe, compassionate nursing in a high-acuity setting.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and NRP within 6 months of hire, with a preference for BSN/MSN graduates and national certification.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a BSN or MSN program within six months of hire and graduate by the third employment anniversary.
• BSN or MSN graduates preferred; grandfathered exemptions may apply for earlier hires.
• Current RN licensure by the NJ State Board of Nursing; BLS required; NRP within 6 months.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to newborns in Special Care Nursery with age-appropriate assessments.
• Develop and implement a plan of care addressing physical and emotional needs of patient/family.
• Coordinate and supervise care delivery, ensuring safe, compassionate environment.
• Collaborate with the health care team to support critically ill newborns and families.
