Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Passed the national certifying exam at time of hire.
Ability to be licensed in Illinois as a Physician Assistant prior to start date.
Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
Two years of NICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care as outlined in the Collaboration Agreement with neonatology faculty.
Maintain a clinical neonatology practice to enhance proficiency.
Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice through reviews by faculty.
Maintain documentation of competency on ongoing cases.
Participate in didactic and clinical teaching for residency.
Provide continuing education for neonatal faculty and physicians.
Assist in developing a comprehensive neonatology program.
Participate in quality initiatives and scholarly activities related to neonatology.
