Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Passed the national certifying exam at time of hire.
• Ability to be licensed in Illinois as a Physician Assistant prior to start date.
• Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
• Two years of NICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care as outlined in the Collaboration Agreement with neonatology faculty.
• Maintain a clinical neonatology practice to enhance proficiency.
• Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice through reviews by faculty.
• Maintain documentation of competency on ongoing cases.
• Participate in didactic and clinical teaching for residency.
• Provide continuing education for neonatal faculty and physicians.
• Assist in developing a comprehensive neonatology program.
• Participate in quality initiatives and scholarly activities related to neonatology.
