Carle Health is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join the Level III NICU team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. This PRN opportunity supports a 48-bed NICU with a dedicated 24-hour neonatologist coverage and a transport team, handling 600+ admissions and 3,000+ deliveries annually.

Education requirements include a Master’s degree in Nursing or a NICU APP Fellowship for PAs, with Illinois APRN/PA licensure and neonatal certification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or PA; neonatal certification preferred.
• NICU experience or NICU APP fellowship required for PA applicants.
• Active NP/PA license in Illinois and APRN/PA credentialing required.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and perform standard NICU procedures (e.g., intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC lines).
• Provide ongoing neonatal care in a 48-bed NICU with dedicated neonatal team coverage.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
