Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Neonatal Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to care for newborns and children in the NICU, PICU, and Labor & Delivery settings. You will provide ventilation support, airway management, and family education within a collaborative team. The role offers mentorship and growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Care or CoARC-accredited program required.
• NBRC registration and NC license (NCRCB) with current BLS, PALS, NRP and NPS certifications.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Provide oxygen, medications, airway clearance, and other therapies across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, including invasive and noninvasive modes.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection-prevention standards.
