ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Registered Dietitian I for our Newark, DE hospital. This Neonatal/Pediatric Dietitian role focuses on medical nutrition therapy for neonatal and pediatric populations within Clinical Nutrition Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required.
• Acute care clinical dietitian experience preferred.
• Master's degree required after 2024 per CDR.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for neonatal and pediatric patients, including premature and medically complex infants.
• Develop and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans, including TPN/macronutrient adjustments in collaboration with the care team.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds, working closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, nursing, pharmacy, and SLP.
• Monitor growth trends, labs, feeding tolerance, and clinical status to optimize nutrition outcomes.
• Support human milk and formula management, including fortification strategies and specialized feeding plans.
• Provide family-centered education and counseling for caregivers.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, guideline development, and evidence-based practice changes.
• Precept interns and new staff, supporting professional development within the department.
