Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) required.
• Master’s Degree required after graduating in 2024, as required by Commission on Dietetic Registration

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nutrition assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for neonatal and pediatric patients, including premature and medically complex infants.
• Develop and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds with neonatologists, pediatricians, nursing, pharmacy, and SLP.
• Monitor growth trends, labs, feeding tolerance, and clinical status to optimize nutrition outcomes.
• Support human milk and formula management, including fortification strategies and specialized feeding plans.
• Provide family-centered education and counseling for caregivers.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, guideline development, and evidence-based practice changes.
• Precept interns and new staff, supporting professional development.
