UConn Health/Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced Pediatric Physician Assistant to join our NICU teams in the SCN and Newborn Nursery. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis with 24/7 coverage.

The PA will participate in high-risk deliveries, admit and manage newborns, perform neonatal procedures, and collaborate with neonatology attendings in a teaching hospital setting.

Formación

• Experience performing intubation and neonatal procedures.
• Ability to place umbilical arterial and venous lines.
• Proficient in IV placement and lumbar punctures.
• Skilled in urinary catheterization of neonates.

Responsabilidades

• Attend high-risk deliveries.
• Admit and manage infants in the SCN through rounds and procedures.
• Provide coverage for well babies in the Well Baby Nursery with admissions and daily notes.
• Participate in Pediatric Codes and trauma responses in the Emergency Department.
