University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks Physician Assistants for a Neonatology Fellowship at UPMC. Fellows rotate between UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and Magee-Womens Hospital, with day and night shifts seven days a week, under a joined interview process and faculty supervision.

The program features a $30,000 sign-on, relocation support, and pathways for advanced practice development through the APP Career Ladder and fellowship track.

Formación

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program is required.
• Current NCCPA certification and PA license are required.
• BLS/CPR certification and state licensure compliance required.
• Clearances Act 33, Act 73 and Act 34 are required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform comprehensive newborn/infant assessments and interpret data.
• Initiate emergency evaluation and treatment as needed.
• Conduct high-level invasive procedures (e.g., umbilical line placement).
• Collaborate with Neonatology faculty, fellows and consultants.
• Refer to and coordinate with attending physicians for care plans.
• Communicate with families regarding condition, plan, and progress.
• Engage in research and contribute to educational activities.
• Support neonatal transport planning and policy discussions.
