Job summary

Duke Health's Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers deliver direct care to infants from birth to 2 years in Duke University Hospital's NICU, with supervision by a physician. The role involves diagnostic procedures, medication management, and collaboration with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Applicants should have an MSN/DNP in Neonatal NP or a Master's/Doctoral PA with a Neonatal Fellowship, plus NP NP or PA-C certification and NC licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree requirement: MSN or DNP for Neonatal NP; PA requires neonatal fellowship.
• NP or PA certification as applicable: NNP for NP; PA-C for PA.
• License: RN (NP) or medical license with neonatal practice in NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct neonatal care under supervision of supervising physician.
• Perform neonatal procedures and order labs and imaging as needed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain documentation in electronic medical records and ensure patient safety.
