Job summary

UNC Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Rex JMH Neonatal team on a per diem basis. The APP will participate in an interdisciplinary care team, perform comprehensive assessments, and manage patient plans under physician supervision.

Education: accredited graduate-level APP program; NC license and board certification if required; DEA as applicable. Strong communication, leadership, and documentation skills are essential for ongoing patient care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (PA) program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department.
• DEA participation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, cost-effective care within APP scope under physician supervision.
• Take medical history, perform physical exams, order/interpret tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families; participate in leadership and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support billing documentation.
