Job summary

Avera Health in Sioux Falls seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced neonatal care in a multidisciplinary team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat neonates per established protocols while educating families and collaborating with physicians to design effective care plans.

The role requires active NN P and/or CNP licensure, RN licensure in the state, and a preference for 2–3 years in a Level III NICU. On-site shifts and commitment to patient safety are core expectations.

Qualifications

• Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) licensure active in NCC.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and eligibility to practice in the state.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license active in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients per protocol.
• Provides medical care and health education to patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians on assessment and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per approved protocols.
• Maintains accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adheres to safety, confidentiality, and clinical standards.
