The University of South Florida, in collaboration with Tampa General Hospital, seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide expert NICU care for critically ill neonates in a level IV unit. The APRN will cover day and night shifts as assigned and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.

Requirements include a Master’s (or Doctoral) degree in nursing or medicine, Florida ARNP licensure or PA certification, and current BLS; NICU experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in nursing or medicine (required).
• Florida ARNP licensure or PA certification (required).
• BLS/CPR certification current (required).

Responsabilités

• Ongoing evaluation and management of neonates in the NICU, including rounds and family coordination.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and stabilize critically ill neonates under supervision.
• Document all orders and progress in the medical record.
• Perform NICU procedures such as endotracheal intubation, line placements, CSF sampling, and arterial access.
• Teach and supervise pediatric residents and medical students.
• Participate in Quality Assurance / Improvement and other duties as assigned.
