Job summary

Children’s Colorado seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to deliver expert, family-centered care for infants up to age 2, in collaboration with healthcare teams. The NNP conducts exams, diagnoses, and manages acute, chronic, and critical conditions, while promoting health education and disease prevention.

Key duties include prescribing treatments, coordinating referrals, and providing patient-family guidance within a 24-hour on-call model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing & Master’s Degree NNP.
• Three (3) years’ combined experience as RN or NNP in a neonatal setting.
• Circumcision procedure experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Family Centered Care: integrates age-specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care, considering chronological age and development.
• Provides leadership in care management to achieve high-quality care and cost-effectiveness.
• Delivers and communicates with the healthcare team to ensure integrated pediatric care.
• Performs assessments, prescribes treatments and medications, and coordinates referrals.
• Participates in quality improvement activities to improve care delivery and outcomes.
• Maintains professional practice and demonstrates critical thinking for patient care management.
