Qualifications
- Nebraska RN licensure required (or approved compact state)
- Master of Science in Nursing with focus in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure in Nebraska required
- Certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by examination
- Minimum of one year neonatal clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Attend high-risk deliveries (preterm, multiple gestation)
- Perform neonatal assessments and history taking
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; develop treatment plans
- Prescribe pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic therapies
- Document patient findings and care plans accurately
- Collaborate with neonatal physicians and family care teams
- Provide neonatal resuscitation in NICU, labor and delivery, nursery
