Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for a full-time role in Texarkana, TX. The position supports a Level-III NICU and involves 24-hour in-house coverage for neonates at Christus St. Michael's Hospital.

A current APRN certification and a master's degree with relevant clinical experience are required. Texas license or active IMLC is preferred, with demonstrated recent NNP experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 in-house NICU coverage for neonates.
• Care for preemies and term babies requiring ventilation, nitric oxide, and other therapies.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and nursing staff to ensure high-quality care at Christus St. Michael's Hospital.

Full-Time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) openings in Texarkana, TX

Pediatrix Medical Group has a wonderful per diem opportunity available for a experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join a well-established practice providing care to neonates at Christus St. Michael's Hospital in Texarkana, TX. Christus St. Michael's Hospital was ranked by Modern Healthcare as one of the "Best Places to Work in Healthcare" in 2017.

• The Level-III NICU has 8 beds and the intermediate unit has 7 with an average daily census of 9 infants.
• The neonatologists see babies in the newborn nursery with approximately 2,100 deliveries annually.
• NNPs provide 24-hour, in-house coverage and they also care for preemies and term babies who need mechanical ventilation, nitric oxide, oscillator ventilation and total body cooling.

• Current APRN national specialty certification
• Minimum of a master's degree and 1 year post-grad clinical experience required
• TX license or active IMLC preferred
• Certified NNP with recent experience required

Pediatrix does cover your travel expenses (round trip flight/rental car or mileage and lodging) for those who reside outside a commutable distance from the practice.

We also cover your malpractice insurance for this W-2 per diem position.
